About the Project
JSC «Institute of Information Technologies» (IIT) is the only developer and manufacturer of measuring instruments for fibre‑optic communication lines (FOCL) in the Republic of Belarus. Since 1992, the company has been producing high‑tech equipment and world‑class software in Minsk, supplying products to customers in the CIS and far abroad.
IIT’s instruments are widely used in telecommunications, cable television, railways, oil & gas sector, and state certification. The manufacturing process is fully in‑house: from concept development and R&D to serial production and proprietary software writing – all within a single organisation, ensuring strict quality control at every stage.
The beliit.by website serves as a single entry point for customers: it not only provides a complete product catalogue but also allows online ordering through a convenient WooCommerce‑based store.
Objective
To create a fully functional online store with corporate content that:
- Presents the entire IIT product range: optical reflectometers, testers, intercoms, calibration and reference equipment, Fiberizer software, and the FIBERTEST FOCL monitoring system
- Enables customers to easily find the required equipment by category and technical specifications
- Supports online ordering with price calculation and checkout via shopping cart
- Contains information about the company, application areas, and partner network
- Is adapted for engineers and technical specialists working both in the field and in stationary laboratories

Implementation Highlights
WooCommerce Integration — the site is built on WooCommerce, enabling:

Complex Catalogue — IIT’s product range includes both portable field instruments (e.g., OPX‑350, OPX‑BOX) and stationary laboratory equipment (e.g., RTU‑300). Each device type has its own product page structure with technical specifications.
Software Products — a dedicated category for Fiberizer software, available in three versions: cloud service, desktop application, and mobile app for iOS and Android.
Responsiveness — the site is optimised for all devices, which is especially important for engineers who may access it both in the office and in field conditions.
